GameStorm is a gaming convention in Vancouver, WA (just across the river from Portland, OR). It has 24 hour gaming and programming, and inside of the larger convention has the Indy Games Hurricane, which is devoted to the promotion and playing of Independently produced games.

Stumptown Comic Fest comes highly recommended to me by a friend who works in the field of comics. She says that it is a great gathering of Indie Comics folks with a dealers room full of zines and other goodies. She compares it favorably with WisCon for being Queer/Female friendly.
