Why I love my gamerchick
What makes gamerchicks cool?
I asked a few people and here are the answers I got :
1. Because they're more exciting than a stereotypical girl.
2. They're more broadminded and open about things.
3. They don't talk about shopping or clubbing, they talk about Con, Cha, Coverts, Attacks, something I can understand
4. Most of them have an intriguing sense of humor (unless they get too involved with the games they are playing)
5. lol *I asked 'Should be obvious huh?'* yup
it's why I am with her
6. She can relate to the stuff I do
7. She can beat me up in the games and it's sexy, no real blood shed too
8. You dont have to sacrifice your own hobby to make them happy
9. It's nice to have someone I can relate to on more levels.
10. There's often a sort of masculine side to a geek chick which manifests itself in that particular area. They already roleplay.

Yep....I hear these all the time when the guys I play games with tell me how awesome it is that I play too.
I can't help it....I was brought up that way. My parents introduced me to games at a very young age....and I'm glad they did!

The list you made is the reasons why my hubby and I met, dated and married all those years ago. We are REALLY competitive with each other when playing games. He doesn't sulk if I whip his butt; I try not to sulk when he whips mine.
It truly is a wonderful way to spend your time together. My hubby IS my best friend and he considers me his. We enjoy doing things together too much for him to go off and game without me.
Oh. My. God.
That was a great post... I must say it is always fun to geek out with my boyfriend and not have him mind that I am a geekchick
cool gamerchicks
Good one, Elquin.
I always thought one of the great benefits was giving my husband and me something we could do together on his turf. This kind of translates to: He never has to feel like he can't spend whatever time he wants playing games 'cause I'll participate with him or just do my own kill/maim/destroy thing. So many guys online seem to be hampered by their signiciant other wanting them to get off the computer and spend more time with them. I see it as such an asset to ask mine to GET online so we can spend more time together.
So, #8 applies strongly to both.
Of course, you know which of us turned into the bigger game addict.
After spending almost 9 years on the same MUD with Elquin, I can safely say the women on this MUD are one very bright and diversified group of women, as are the other gamerchicks I've met over the years on various other games. We're just flat out more interesting.
AWW!
Ok you rule just for posting that!
