Apples to Apples

I had heard great things about this game, from so many different people, yet up until Christmas I had never played it. Anyway, we ended up buying Apples to Apples for the inlaws, and had a blast playing it.
The game is for 4 to 10 players, and the most complicated thing about the entire game is shuffling 700 or so cards. Super easy! Each round you get an adjective, and it's up to the players to look at their cards (persons, places, and things) and pick the card that comes closest to fitting the adjective. Or, for more hilarity, picking the card that gets the most laughs.
Each round, one person plays "judge" and it's up to that person to pick out the winning card. The person who threw that card in is the winner for that hand, and a new hand is dealt. The role of "judge" passes to the next person and the fun/hilarity begins again. The person who collects the most cards wins. The fewer players there are, then the more cards you have to collect to win. The more players, the fewer the cards.
The game is not without it's advantages and disadvantages. If your friends/family know you really well, then there is more chance of them playing the perfect card to sway your vote as judge. For any new people in the group, they may not have that familiarity factor to rely on. At any rate, the fun factor and laughs greatly outweigh any disadvantage one might have.
There are even some blank cards available, so that you can customize the game to your family, friends, or humor. Should you ever feel the need for more cards, there is also an expansion deck of cards available.
