It's late, or perhaps early, depending on how you look at it.

My thoughts on Gary Gygax's passing.
I really didn't expect his passing to effect me like it did. I cried when I read it. I'm not saying the man and the system are without faults, but it did make me very sad to know that he was gone.

I know what you mean
I totally know what you mean. I, though, love D&D but have never met Gary. Everything I read (even still), everything I saw that related to Gary, made me cry. I just wish I had known he lived so close sooner. He used to have fans drop by his home all the time, and as long as he was feeling well, they would usually play a game or just hang out. Everyone was welcome in the Gygax home. If is wasn't for D&D, I probably would still be the shy, introverted girl I used to be before I started playing. I used to hide behind my ex-husband whenever we went somewhere new or met anyone new. Once I started gaming, I came out of my shell more, and now I don't get as uncomfortable around new people as I used to. Gary will live on in our thoughts, and in every roleplaying game.
