Ashe - Most annoying portrayal of a female character ever!

My in-laws bought me Final Fantasy XII for my birthday, and I've played about 40 hours worth so far. There's one thing that drives both me and my wife nuts and makes us laugh at how ridiculous it is every time it happens.

Ashe sighs.

Every time Ashe is in a scene, she's gasping at something going on, even if it doesn't seem to really be that shocking or important.

"Ashe, did you just see the ghost of your dead husband?" Ashe gasps.

"I am going to kill you, Lady Ashe." Ashe sighs.

"Do you like choco bird sandwiches?" Ashe gasps.

In some scenes, it's almost as if the voice actor thought they were filming a porno with all the sighing and gasping that she does. For such a "great leader," she just seems so...dainty.

Are we the only ones annoyed by this?
