Let's discuss painting miniatures!

So, I didn't really know where to place this. Is it a blog entry? Is it a story? Who knows.

At any rate, I wanted to ask the Gamer Chicks about painting miniatures. How many of you paint your own minis? Do any of you have a company you prefer over others? How long have you been painting? Are there painting tips to offer? Do you have a book title or two to throw out to the newbies (i.e. me).

GenCon from the GamerChicksRule-oriented male perspective

It was the fastest four days I've experienced in a while, but it was a really good time. This was probably the hardest GenCon to have to leave, and I think that says a lot about the direction of the industry and the potential impact that groups like GamerChicksRule.com can have.

Privateer Press Knows Their Audience

I am very much inclined to like Privateer Press for many reasons, great games, wonderful customer service, high quality metal minis, and last but certainly not least, the Page 5 philosophy. It's what really won me over to Warmachine.

Now at first glance the Page 5 philosophy feels a bit misogynistic, and makes Warmachine out to be a boys only club.

For want of a Deathjack leg

In which I talk about an awesome mini-wargame I play as well as share my woes of lost parts for a commission I was working on for someone else.

My husband got me into miniature war gaming about a year ago. I am not too good at tactics but I really enjoy painting and showing off a faboo army. I got enough attention that I started getting commissions from the local gamers to paint their armies for them.
