On playing Gender roles in Roleplaying games
Submitted by ShoshieB1 on Sun, 01/06/2008 - 01:11.So as you know my current game of choice is World of Warcraft. I've been having a ball on a roleplaying server and have created several characters. I've made several online friends through guilds and playing. But most recently I decided for a change of pace to create a Male Paladin. All my other characters have not only been female, but also very feminine and girly girly, so this would be a "switch" to say the least.

Privateer Press Knows Their Audience
Submitted by MelAM on Wed, 03/07/2007 - 19:20.I am very much inclined to like Privateer Press for many reasons, great games, wonderful customer service, high quality metal minis, and last but certainly not least, the Page 5 philosophy. It's what really won me over to Warmachine.
Now at first glance the Page 5 philosophy feels a bit misogynistic, and makes Warmachine out to be a boys only club.
Why I love my gamerchick
Submitted by Elquin on Thu, 02/08/2007 - 02:37.What makes gamerchicks cool?
I asked a few people and here are the answers I got :
1. Because they're more exciting than a stereotypical girl.
2. They're more broadminded and open about things.
3. They don't talk about shopping or clubbing, they talk about Con, Cha, Coverts, Attacks, something I can understand
4. Most of them have an intriguing sense of humor (unless they get too involved with the games they are playing)
5. lol *I asked 'Should be obvious huh?'* yup
it's why I am with her
6. She can relate to the stuff I do
