Submitted by MikeIT on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 14:23.Gleemax is shutting down. In case you have no idea what Gleemax was, it was Wizards of the Coast's attempt at social networking for gamers. After spending about a year on it, they decided they wanted to focus their online investment in Magic and D&D.

Wizards of the Coast ditches DRM - Goes Watermark and On Sale!
Submitted by OBS_Ned on Tue, 02/27/2007 - 15:58.Wizards of the Coast, having cautiously moved into the digital marketplace through partnerships with DriveThruRPG.com and RPGNow.com, has decided to transfer their 3.0 and 3.5 titles from the Adobe DRM security style to the Watermark style, which is widely considered more customer friendly. They are the last big-name publisher to transition from the DRM style, which required a one-time registration of a customer's copy of Adobe Reader with Adobe.
